Taking the drug facilitates the runny nose, removes the swelling of the nasal mucosa with rhinitis.

Antigrippin contains paracetamol, ascorbic acid and chlorpheniramine maleate. These substances, combining their therapeutic properties, exert an enhanced effect of the drug on the body.

Composition

  • Ascorbic acid is a powerful antioxidant that protects the cells from free radicals. Under the influence of this substance, the production of interferon by the body is enhanced, the protective function of neutrophils increases, and the pathological permeability of the vascular walls to viruses and bacteria decreases.
  • Chlorpheniramine maleate is a component that relates to H1-histamine receptor blockers. Thanks to the substance included in the composition of Antigrippin, the drug has an immediate antihistamine property, reduces the secretion of glandular mucosa and eliminates allergic rhinitis.
  • Paracetamol - has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic properties. Refers to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Indications for use

Antigrippin is prescribed to facilitate the flow of acute respiratory viral infection and influenza, which is accompanied by fever, coryza, head and muscle pain, throat swelling and mucosal edema. It can be used for complex treatment in rhinitis, caused by an allergic reaction.

Instructions for use

Antigrippin is indicated for oral, before, or after meals. The maximum daily intake for adults is 3 tablets, for children older than 5 years - 2 tablets. Children 3-5 years appoint 0.5 tablets 2 times a day. The maximum course of treatment with the drug is 5 days. Between the reception of tablets should be observed interval of 5 hours.

Contraindications

The drug should not be taken to people with anemia, reduced number of white blood cells in the blood, patients with hepatitis, prostate enlargement, glaucoma, peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer. Antigrippin is contraindicated in patients with impaired liver and kidney function, children under 3 years of age, and elderly people. The drug is not prescribed for pregnant women and nursing mothers. Do not take patients suffering from phenylketonuria.

Side effects of

From the heart and blood vessels - anemia, redness of the face, decrease in the number of platelets;

On the part of urinary organs - urinary retention, papillary necrosis, nephritis with glomerular lesion;

From the gastrointestinal tract - pain in the stomach, nausea, dry mouth.

From the side of the CNS - rapid fatigue, sleep disorders, headaches, dizziness, drowsiness.
